Using nine fully connected systems, Muller Martini will showcase the key topic of Finishing 4.0 live at its drupa booth A49 in Hall 2. Hundreds of copies of over 20 different (hybrid) print products will be produced to demonstrate the buzz words of smart automation, variable, customized production and touchless workflow.
This year Gerhard Busch GmbH will be part of drupa again – for the 14th time since 1958. As in 2012 the company will share its booth with Schneider Senator SSB GmbH that is integrated in the Busch group since 2009. Together they present their product portfolio for print finishing that complements each other in an optimal way.
Counting speed of up to 10,000 sheets per minute will be demonstrated in our new Vicount 3 Industrial Disc machine, but will also be available in the Super 30 Disc and standard Vicount 3 Disc machines.
With the enhanced Rapida 145 KBA-Sheetfed will probably be the only exhibitor presenting a high-tech large-format press at drupa. The six-colour press with coater and automated pile logistics on display will be equipped with a raft of new highlights aimed at automating the printing process further and making this even more effective. Its higher maximum speed of 18,000sph (Rapida 164: 16,500sph) and new double-pile delivery are striking features. The first large-format presses with double-pile delivery are already in operation. This option is now also available in medium format for the Rapida 106.
The Stephens & George Print Group in Dowlais in Wales is commissioning no fewer than four new Muller Martini print finishing systems – two Bolero perfect binders and two Primera saddle stitchers, making it the first graphic arts business in Great Britain to invest in the latest-generation Primera. At GBP 4.2 million (EUR 5.25 million), it is the largest investment in stitching and binding in the United Kingdom in the past ten years.
